Maria Petrosyan is an attorney and IMI Qualified Mediator with more than seven years of experience in legal advisory, litigation and legal reform. She is Principal Lawyer at MB Legal, where she advises on corporate and commercial matters, regulatory issues and dispute resolution. A licensed mediator in Armenia, she is a member of the Chamber of Advocates and the Chamber of Mediators. Her mediation training includes the IMI 40-Hour Mediation Skills Training, the mediator accreditation programme of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia and training at the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC). Most recently, she took part in SIMC’s Armenia Commercial Mediation Training and Mediation Skills Assessment. She has worked on judicial and legal reform in Armenia, with a focus on arbitration, mediation and access to justice, and served as Armenia’s National Correspondent to the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ). She also co-presents at the mediator accreditation programme of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia and serves as a judge and arbitrator in academic competitions.
